WHO IS THIS QUALIFICATION FOR:
THIS IS AN UPDATE COURSE FOR THOSE WHO HOLD THE 17TH EDITION COURSE EXAM
Electricians and Engineers / Domestic Installers working with or near voltages between 0-1000V AC are required to work competently to the current IET BS7671Wiring regulations City and Guilds qualification 2382-18 checks you have sufficient understanding of the wiring regulations finding information and how to apply the regulations in the real world. The course is required by Competency Schemes and Employers to work in the Electrical Industry.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
This qualification has no formal entry requirements, but it is recommended that you have a good working knowledge of Electrical Installations. It is also recommended that a suitable technical industry certificate such as C&G2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations is a good starting point for those seeking a career as an Electrician. This qualification can be used together with your NVQ.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED:
You will be assessed by one 2 hour multiple choice evolve exam. Which is broken down into the 8 sections below.
• Scope, objective and fundamental principles
• The definitions • Assessment of general characteristics
• Requirements of protection for safety
• Requirements for selection and erection of equipment
• Requirements of Inspection & testing
• Requirements of special installations or locations as identified in BS 7671
• Information contained within the appendices of BS 7671
• Appendices
HOW WILL I LEARN
You will learn through a series of units delivered via our ON-LINE LEARNING PORTAL with a number of advantages.
You will not have to take time off work
You Study and Learn at a time and pace to suit you
You do not have to wait until a course is available (we teach 365 days a year)
You will not be in a large class
HOW LONG WILL THE COURSE TAKE:
There is no fixed time as it depends on your prior knowledge and experience but City & Guilds provide a guidance to the number of learning hours of 35hrs but the control is all yours as the learning is how to use and apply the wiring regulations you can progress as quickly as you are able.
